I think it was the chit-chat session I had with YY and YC yesterday that left me thinking so much about friendships.
I believe that when we (or at least, I) forge a new friendship, we put in an equal amount of effort to further the friendship. It's just weird thinking how some friendships turned out.
I just wished I had put in more effort for some friendships. I had a close friend in Sec school, EJ. Ever since EJ left Singapore to study in another country, we've not talked. Well, not exactly not talk AT ALL. For around 1 year after EJ left, we talked maybe once every 2 months considering that she had limited access to social media because, China. ¯\ _(ツ)_/¯ Somehow as we got busier, we just talked lesser and lesser, and it stopped someday. I always imagine myself meeting her on the streets someday, and that it would be so awkward we'll have nothing to say. Lol.
There are a bunch of friendships I never want to let go. But ya know, nothing can be promised. All I want to say is a HUGE thank you to my friends for being my friends, for bringing so much fun into my life, and creating memories so memorable that I will never forget until the day I die. No matter what our friendship develops to in the future, I am really really really glad you became a part of my life.
