That day when I went to my Ah ma's house!
It's been quite some time since I last went back to my ah ma's house. Nothing major took place, except that we now have a dog and the turkeys are gone. Sigh, I was really looking forward to take some pictures of the turkey. Or maybe even slaughtering them for Christmas. Hehe. Now we're back to rearing some chickens! Not to mention, a picture of the disgusting bath room. That's why I really hate going back there. Of course I'll bathe (I'm not that dirty), but I won't wash my hair if I'm going back for 1 or 2 days. It's okay if there's no air conditioning, but the fact that the fan rotates in a circle of 360 degrees, taking about 15 secs to reach back to me, makes me hate sleeping there. Sigh. We're still using water from the well to bathe, to rinse our mouths when brushing teeth and to drink. My parents always need to reassure me that it's clean (although I know it's still not) so that I'll want to bathe. I still remember how my mum taught me to draw water up from the well. And I'll proudly say I'm a pro in that already. Haha. My ah ma grows lots of stuff, like mangoes, jack fruits, star fruits, rambutans, longans, coconuts, chillies, aloe vera, raspberries and etc. Sometimes we'll just go to the trees and pluck those fresh berries off and toss them into our mouth. Also, scroll up to see the tortoises we have. This tortoise was actually brought from Singapore. Not that it's expensive, it's because I didn't want to rear them already. And it was like.. when I was very young?! Only 4 or 5 years old. So.... The tortoises are still alive and living well, becoming bigger and bigger each time I visit them. May they live to a ripe old age! Not to mention, fireworks are legal here. And we always do see fireworks up in the sky at night. During chinese new year, my uncle will actually buy a lot of them and we'll just light them up near the sea. It's beautiful. Sadly, my ah ma will have to move soon because oil refineries have found some precious coal in this area! Sigh!
